Multi Germany wins mandate for centre management of Römerpassage Mainz

Since January 2021 Multi Germany GmbH, the German organisation of Multi Corporation, is the new centre manager of the Römerpassage in Mainz. The company successfully won the management contract awarded by iMallinvest. The mandate includes centre management, property management, technical centre management as well as leasing. With this new mandate Multi Germany succeeds in continuing its expansion as a full-service mall management provider.

“We are very pleased to expand our successful and very cooperative partnership with Credit Suisse with this mandate. With the Römerpassage, we were able to win another attractive retail asset. With a great development potential, the Römerpassage offers promising options for a sustainable positioning. Therefore, we are very pleased that we won this mandate with our vision for the asset. We are convinced that with our extensive experience and international expertise we will be able to develope this shopping centre towards the future and create long-term values for the owner,” says Hubert Stech, Managing Director Multi Germany & Benelux.

35 shops on three floors with over 8 million visitors

The Römerpassage is a modern shopping centre built on historic walls. Opened in 2003, the shopping centre with its mixed-use approach has a retail area of around 10,000 m² as well as 2,500 m² of residential space and 5,000 m² for offices.

On three floors, the Römerpassage offers a diverse mix of retail, services and F&B to the approximately 8 million visitors per year. Anchor tenants include well-known retail chains such as Hugendubel, Depot, Engbers, Hussel, Spiele Max and Netto Marken-Discount.

The Römerpassage is the only inner-city shopping centre in the city of Mainz and it has its own underground car park with around 200 parking spaces offering barrier-free access to the centre and the Citymeile for its visitors.

With its excellent location in Mainz’s city centre the Römerpassage is a popular shopping destination. It also functions as a link between the main shopping boulevard, Stadthausstrasse, and Mainz’s main railway station, and therefore holds an important function for the retail trade in the cathedral city of Mainz.
