Forum Rotterdam

FORUM Rotterdam is an innovative mixed-use regeneration project in the city centre of Rotterdam. The site is uniquely located in the busy geographical and emotional heart of the city, at the junction of Rotterdam’s most important pedestrian shopping streets: Coolsingel, Lijnbaan, Binnenweg and Beurstraverse (12-15 million visitors per year). It is surrounded by areas dominated by clusters of Culture, Transport, Museums, Creativity/innovation and Waterfront/Port and is connected to the core of the city’s public transport system. Officially opened on 24 September 2020, FORUM comprises 64,000 sqm of space for shops, food and beverage outlets, offices and apartments.

FORUM Rotterdam has several distinguished elements:

• The renewal of an iconic, listed former bank building and transformation into an experiential XL Donner bookstore, plus retail & office space for ABN AMRO.
• Rejuvenation of the area with a new retail building by Architects Rem Koolhaas/OMA. The transparent design stimulates engagement with the surrounding public domain and defines the centre. It will be home to the largest Primark flagship store in the country and it will include new retail space on the Lijnbaan.
• Transformation of a former office tower into residential units.
